He is regarded as a pioneer of ecological and building-biological housing and housing development. With the <a href=\"http:\/\/sdg21.eu\/db\/baubiologische-siedlung-schafbruehl\">Schafbr\u00fchl-Siedlung<\/a> in T\u00fcbingen, together with fellow architects Sambeth Oed H\u00e4fele, he realised the first large ecological settlement in Europe, which was completed in 1984. In the meantime, the planning office realizes sustainable quarters, settlements and buildings worldwide. Rolf Messerschmidt (born 1968) has been office manager of Joachim Eble Architektur since 2001.
