The first residents moved in in 2004. By the end of 2009, just over 100 people from babies to the elderly were already living in the project. The group of houses is located on the outskirts of Heidenheim, rich in forests and meadows, in the direct vicinity of a Demeter farm.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sdg21.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/dorf-in-der-stadt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-6808 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sdg21.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/dorf-in-der-stadt.jpg\" alt=\"dorf-in-der-stadt\" width=\"100\" height=\"54\" \/><\/a>In the neighbourhood of the settlement \"Dorf in der Stadt\" (village in the city) in Heidenheim, a senior care community is being built. The initiator of these apartments is a free initiative for \"self-determined living in old age\". From this initiative, the association \"Haus Ugental\" e. V. was founded in 2010.
