1. Sustainable quarter Seestadt Aspern: Supply with 100 percent renewable energies. Apartments for more than 20,000 citizens; by 2019, some 9,000 people had already moved there. The subway was there before the houses and the tram is to follow. In parallel with mixed housing (rental, ownership, residential), business and research locations, educational institutions are being built. The number of jobs is to potentially equal that of the residents. Instead of shopping centres, there will be retail and gastronomy on the ground floors of the residential streets. Private car traffic will be limited, but there will be bike lanes and sidewalks, and since June 2019, two autonomously driving e-shuttles will be tested...:

15. One of the largest passive house developments in Europe was built on Mühlenweg in Vienna (as of 2008). The total area of the Aspanggründe "Eurogate" site covers approx. 22 ha. Six different architectural offices are planning the total of 740 apartments. In the final stage, approx. 7,000 jobs will be created there.
