As a centre for energy, adapted technology and international development, the operating association "artefact" needed a complete facility for the demonstration, training and exchange of adapted technology. In accordance with the internationally oriented objectives of the association, building forms and constructions were designed that can be used in northern latitudes as well as in southern, mostly wood-poor countries.
