22926 Ahrensburg: Land area: 6.4 ha; 15 houses with 1 - 14 apartments with high ecological standard (110 WE: 100 condominiums, 5 social housing); 40% of the built-up area commercial use (~40 businesses / 86 freelancers [as of 2012]). Largest residential project with living and working in Schleswig-Holstein. Completion: 2012

Classification
Allmende Wulfsdorf is the largest residential project in Schleswig-Holstein. Together with the neighbouring residential projects Wilde Rosen and Bornseck, almost 200 residential units and approx. 55 commercial units have been realised. The three residential projects form a socio-ecological cluster, so to speak, with the ecological operation of the Wulfsdorf estate, ecological seed research and environmental facilities such as Haus Jordsand.

History
The initiative came in 1999 from the Demeter farm Gut Wulfsdorf, which brought the Lübeck project development office conplan into the fold. Allmende Wolfsdorf e.V. was founded in 2002.

Planning
In addition to the residential buildings and commercial units, ten different architectural firms realized further buildings with non-residential uses: an artists' center, a sports hall, a health center, a bathing pond, a sports field, a kindergarten, a facility for ecological seed research. Two factory halls and a new building were converted into an artist, studio centre.

Ecology
All new residential buildings were built to the KfW 40 or 60 standard, one building as a passive house. The existing buildings were renovated to low-energy standards. In 90%, the heat demand is covered by a wood chip heating plant. Rainwater is used for toilets, washing machines and garden irrigation.

Construction costs: € 14 million

Prices
In 2007, the Allmende Wulfsdorf village project was awarded the title of Schleswig-Holstein state winner in the "Neighbourhood Network" competition organised by BHW and Schöner Wohnen.
