Planungsbüro: Bruno Taut

Bruno Taut (1880 - 1938) was a German architect and urban planner who is considered one of the pioneers of Modernism and New Building (among other things, he organised the architects' association "Die Gläserne Kette"). He was committed to social housing construction and used colours as a design tool like no other architect at the time. In 1908 he came to Berlin, where ten to twelve thousand flats were built according to his designs, including the "Hufeisensiedlung" in the Britz district and the "Tuschkastensiedlung" in the Treptow-Köpenick district.
