Project environment of the limnologist
"Välle Broar" in Växjö is currently the largest contiguous new timber construction project in the country, with an area of 15 hectares, up to 1,500 projected apartments in seven to eight-storey timber construction and commercial space of 50,000 square metres. The city of Växjö's university has its own course of study in timber house construction and is considered a leader in research on timber construction techniques. The government in Stockholm has a vision: in ten years, wood should be the most common building material in all of Sweden - and, as the industry there hopes, in the longer term also in all of Europe.
