| Special features | The settlement was built as part of the "experimental housing construction" as a "model settlement in a disadvantaged location". Acoustic and visual disadvantages had to be accepted, because Heilbronner Straße, one of the busiest streets in Stuttgart, and passenger and freight train traffic pass directly by. |
| Criticism | The project was not without its critics. It started out ambitiously with ambitious ecological goals. "But the more concretely we developed the project, the more the client and management scaled back the demands. All that remained was the glass hall - a manifesto of wasted ideas," Vandkunsten wrote in the Deutsche Bauzeitung in 1993. |
